In Kreyol
I'd ask nighttime not to fall
Upon Port Au Prince
Tell the stones that lie within
Ayisyen's earth to stand still
Houses, do not move
Tears, do not plunge
Sorrow, do not come
Be still
Still for the children
Still for the mothers
Still for the fathers
For the red
For the blue
Still for solidarity
Collect screams of' pitye
Roll them into a ball
Larger than the universe
Larger than the universe
Give it to the one who knows the whys and why-nots
But I can only lend you my heart
And ask Mercy:
Pouvoir vous imagine l'Haïti?
